Altitude: 2050 - 4200meters
High Season: April to December
Duration: 04 days and 03 nights
It’s impossible to present the wonders of Machu Picchu it's without speaking of our ancestors, the Inca-rulers. Incas such as Pachacutec, Tupac Yupanqui or Huayna Capac were very important visionaries in changing political-religious structures or organizations and building archaeological complexes. Some of these archaeological sites are: Machu Picchu, Choquequirao or Vilcabamba along the Inca trails, in the Cordillera of Vilcabamba.
This particular Inca Trail or Cápac Ñan will lead us along several archaeological sites where we will be able to see the increasing importance or this sites along our journey until we arrive at the majestic city of Machu Picchu (2400 masl) A mystic, beautiful and untouched historical, religious and agricultural capital floating on the clouds.
This trek is an excellent way of appreciating the connection-road of the well-known Royal Inca Trail The one that will lead us through a huge garden with an enormous variety of orchids. Its river winds across the landscape and is known by the Incas as Willkamayu. It's there that the Incas build the city of Wiñayhuayna, an amazing place that seems to come straight out of some fairytale. From this point we'll walk up to Machu Picchu.
Machu Picchu remains a breathtaking experience, not only because it was a spiritual, astronomic and agricultural center but because it's one of the largest, most beautiful and best preserved Inca-capitals and the only-one that remains untouched by occidental populations. The site whispers of mysterious secrets and lost knowledge for all those who are interested to listen. The city seems to float in the air and hide inside the clouds. The Machu Picchu-visit is a perfect combination of pre-Columbian science and religion, a passionate history, beautiful sightseeing and a relaxing experience.
